The papers from the July 2008 meeting and our first Newsletter are now available.

The next meeting will be held jointly with PTC at the PTC World Event in Gaydon on 18th Nov. There will be 4 presentations from 12.10pm in 'Track 6' of this PTC event.

About the Mechanica User Group

The Mechanica User Group was originally formed back in the early 90's. However the last meeting was back in 2002. Attendance at meetings had dwindled, probably partly because the software had got easier to use, and partly because other than the release of Wildire (TM), there were not really any major developments.

However the recent release of Wildfire 4.0 is the most exciting for some time, because at last Mechanica has non-linear materials.

Therefore one of the people who used to run the User Group, Ray Ellender of Elite Consulting, decided to re-activate it with a relaunch meeting in Birmingham in July 2008.
